In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Los Angeles; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (213) 629-2812. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, phoenixfood.us.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have been going to this location for over 40 years and learned about them after I was in the Marine Corps and had been deployed to China and the only time I've ever seen a non Asian eating there, is when I'm there. This is a secret place that mainly Asian locals go to. The food is excellent and authentic. Theres no Orange Chicken or Beef Broccoli on the menu. Broccoli isn't even native to China so...

I went to the Phoenix inn recently. I haven't been there since early 2000s. The food was good. Some minor things but nothing worth mentioning. The server was very impressive. He took all of our orders and didn't write a single thing down. Everything was off the dome and he got the order 100% correct. The service was amazing. They were very attentive. Hot tea was always refilled when you were the plates. It's family style dining so enough to share for everyone at the table. The fried pork chops were delicious. I really enjoyed the seafood udon and the walnut shrimp looked great. Although I didn't have any, I topped it off with some mochi balls and we bought a birthday cake in for our celebration. Very nice staff. I'll be back πŸ‘πŸ½

came here for an amazing christmas lunch with my family during our vacation in california! the service was wonderful, and all of the dishes we ordered were super delicious. i especially loved the baby bok choy and the hong kong rice noodles! we ordered a mixed fruit sago drink at the end and i accidentally spilled it 😭 but they kindly gave us another one. i highly recommend this place for a nice lunch with family!

A C-Town mainstay with a more varied menu usually only found in the SGV. Great service, value packed specials and lots of love with every entree. They do a big business with DoorDash and UberEats as well. Check the PI App for the latest specials and rewards offers and enjoy some of the best food in the area.

This restaurant is very affordable, every dish looks big and is packed with great flavors. If you come to this place with a group, there is a mandatory tip so don't get surprised by that (it will be included in your check). I got various items from the menu, some of the highlights were the garlic and shrimp fried rice and the Chinese sausage fried rice. The service was great and included tea. My party kept drinking hot tea and the waitress was always on top of it and refilling it. Even when we finished our meal and we were just chatting amongst each other, the waitress still offered tea, it was a very nice gesture and made us feel welcome to stay more. Pending on how much you eat, I recommend getting the number of plates = the number of people in your party. If you cannot finish everything, they offer boxes to take out the rest of your food. I recommend dining in, it is clean and spacious. The only bad thing is that some members of my party went to the bathroom and it was not clean, one of them even said that it ruins part of the experience. For the owner: Please clean the restroom, it would have been a perfect experience.
